ELEANOR AND PARK is the story of two star-crossed misfits – smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love – and just how hard it pulled you under.

Eleanor was a 16 years old fat girl, red haired girl and have a definitely weird sense of fashion. That's why on the first day of school, none of them wants to share their chair with her.  None of them was offering her to sit together, not until the driver say she need to get sit and Park, offering her to sit together.

Park was 16 years old  half Korean boy, but he has green eyes.  Sitting with Eleanor was so weird that he afraid that his friends would making fun of him. Thanks God Eleanor never talk or start to talk with me, not even thanking him. He too just sitting looking trough the window and listening to the music or reading his comic.

One day, while flipping trough the comic, Park realize that he is not the only one who read the comic, Eleanor read too. After that he started to read slowly page to page and even bring his comic so Eleanor can read too. But still, they don't talk each other.
Park picked up his comic after taekwando Wednesday night, but he waited until Thursday morning to read them.
They day they finally talk to each other that when Park noticing that Eleanor wrote The Smith's song on her textbook and Park was asking if she like The Smith, and She said she never heard their song. Tomorrow he bring mixed tapes and gave it to her, but she refused it saying she didn't need that and saying she didn't have a walkman. But at least she accept the mixed tapes.

After that, they're begin to talk to each other, and draw closer day by day. Parks soon realize that he began to fall to Eleanor and Eleanor begin to notice that Park like her
"Why has Romeo and Juliet survived four hundred years?" Park hated talking in class. Eleanor frowned at him, then looked away. "Because..." he said quietly, looking at his desk, 'Because people want to remember what it's like to be young? and in love?"

But Eleanor is as complex as her sense of fashion, she is living with her mother, her 3 brother and one sister and her stepdad, named Richie, Eleanor hates him the rest of her life. He is having a mental health problem, he is dealing with drunk everynight and when he is in the bad temper he'll be mad and hit her mother.  Eleanor tried not to pissed him off because that last time she pissed him off, he sent her off for one years.
While Parks living with his parent and his grandparents next door, he lived peacefully with parents who loved him.

Eleanor too was a target of the bullies, most of the school called her Big Red, Redhead or Bloodymarry. None of them want to be friend with her. Sometimes Eleanor found some dirty-writing in her textbooks. And Park was always holding on not to punch the kids who make fun of Eleanor.
He tried to remember how this happened- how she went from someone he'd never met to the only one who mattered.
First love bloom. They loved each other and having a backstreet relationship because Richie would kill Eleanor if he know she got a boyfriend.
'Who are you?'
'I'm your girlfiend,' she said 'Ask anybody.'
'No... My girlfriend is sad and quiet and keeps me up all night worrying about her.'
'Bummer, sounds like you need a different girlfriend.'
He smiled and shook his heads
But most of first would end up nowhere or end up as just memories. So what is going to happen? Just read Eleanor & Park

************************

Sweet! that what I thought this book is. I love the stories, I even read this only 2 days 1 night hahaha, I can't stop scrolling trough my android, like everytime I scroll I found this more interesting. And Park... Gawd.. I have a crush on him! I have a crush on most of Asian boy! I love how Park cherish Eleanor and how Eleanor is sometimes so naive. I couldn't describe my feeling while reading this, mixed with joy, happiness, wanting it and goose-bump. * okay I'm exaggerating *

I could said I was disappointed with the ending *I'm such addict of a happy ending*, but I guess those three words long describe the whole stories. Eventhough I was imagining that they would married to each other in the next few years and I hope Rainbow Rowell would make the sequel of them .

“What are the chances you’d ever meet someone like that? he wondered. Someone you could love forever, someone who would forever love you back? And what did you do when that person was born half a world away? The math seemed impossible.”
